Health Doesn’t Have To Be A Problem For Over-50 Entrepreneurs

During the COVID-19 crisis, I’ve been working with over-50 entrepreneurs to get them to understand that age and fatigue don’t have to be a problem.

Clinical studies (Ergography) report a universal trend among mid-life and older adults of feeling less energized, accompanied by increased difficulty in focusing and sustaining mental alertness. This is due in part to Circadian changes, that is to say, changing biological rhythms that often cause us to fall asleep early and wake up more frequently during the middle of the night, reducing the critical deep sleep restoration our mind and body require. Thus, we awaken the next day feeling drained, sluggish, and unable to focus.

You can stomp all of these age-related enemies into the ground, or, at least, make them nonfactors in your march toward victory. Diet, exercise, weight training, a “mandatory” thirty-minute walk each day are proven, effective, unfaltering weapons against lingering fatigue and the foggy-brain syndrome of old age. Being mentally engaged as an entrepreneur, learning something new each day, will dramatically transform your ability to focus, while simultaneously creating new neural pathways in the brain. You’re going to get smarter whether you like it or not.
